Translations
The summaries I've written up are quite non-spoiler, but, as always, read the later summaries at your own risk as they may reveal plot/character points you want to discover on your own through reading the full manga. And remember--this manga is rated PG-13 most of the time but does skip through some R territory, so peruse with caution if young and/or impressionable.
Summaries are now available for the entire series (include spoilers for the end), and about half of said summaries include pictures. Any translations have been removed due to the fact that this manga is now published in English. Summaries still remain, although any pictures included with them now feature their text in the original Japanese. More Act summaries will be up in the near future.

Volume 1
|
Kotarou Oohira, effeminate bishounen and basketball fanatic, moves in with his Grandpa in Tokyo to attend a coed school less, er, judgmental than his all-boys school in Niigata. Kotarou's aloof cousin Tatsuki Oohira, also living with Grandpa, immediately starts giving Kotarou a hard time due to the fact that, unbeknownst to Kotarou, Kotarou gave Tatsuki postcognition when Kotarou and Tatsuki were children. Along with the help of Yuuto, Kotarou and Tatsuki's (too?) friendly classmate who has the ability to see emotional auras around others, the three end up finding themselves in some strange mysteries surrounding their school and members of the community. Tatsuki and Yuuto find out their respective ESP abilities are heightened when they touch Kotarou, so they don't hesitate to do so when tracking down kidnappers and the like. Since Kotarou isn't informed that Tatsuki and Yuuto have psychic abilities, he's thoroughly frustrated with both of them. Volume 1 available in English as of 10/04. |

Kotarou is thrilled to begin his high school basketball career, though it introduces him to a bit of the dark side of organized sports (DUN duh DUUUNH!). However, he's fortunate enough to meet Mio, an upperclassman bishoujo (pretty girl) who carries a flame for him--and unfortunate enough to meet Chiba, Mio's fierce female protector (who's exceedingly devious). As always, trouble seems to pop around Kotarou, and Tatsuki and Yuuto must repeatedly use their ESP ability to fight bad guys and save their blond buddy. Yuuto doesn't mind so much, because he doesn't have a problem using his psychic ability, but Tatsuki, who must witness past beatings and injuries and suffering through his postcognitive investigations, is quite another matter. Volume 2 available in English as of 2/05. |

Volume 3 |
Enter Udou-sensei, a student teacher who shows up and turns the boys' lives upside-down. Exactly what are Udou's abilities, and what will he do to teach Tatsuki a very important lesson? And as if Tatsuki weren't being put through the ringer enough as it was, Yuuto and Kotarou meet Karen, a beautiful but very nosy photographer who ends up pulling the three boys into her dangerous world. Tatsuki's powers begin to act strangely, and he doesn't react to it very well. Despite the stress, though, could that be a bit of ice slowly melting from his heart?.... Oh, and Kotarou also befriends a really creepy little kid named, appropriately, Akira. |

More trouble! Kotarou The Danger Magnet isn't the only target in this volume, as Tatsuki and Yuuto also get their fair share of violence and emotional trauma. Could things get any more perilous? Tatsuki is starting to break down, and, keeping all his feelings to himself, he's in danger of snapping. Yuuto has a run-in with his past, and he's not sure he's ready to face it. Besides that, though, why does Akira seem to be hanging around in places he shouldn't? What's going on? (By the way, in my opinion, this is probably the best volume of the series.) Volume 4 available in English as of 8/05. Act 10 Summary |

Volume 5 |
Oh ho, in comes another bishounen--and does he have a chip on his shoulder. Mercurial but charming, Kazuma Koutari instantly forms a bond to Kotarou and a frightening grudge with Tatsuki. But why? When he starts playing cruel emotional games on Tatsuki, our angst-ridden Oohira esper starts to lose faith in himself. Like he could be in any worse of a mood by now, right? Still, Kotarou notices Tatsuki's new depression and grows more and more worried. He and Tatsuki are cousins and childhood friends, aren't they? Maybe now it's time to prove it! Volume 5 available in English as of 1/06. |
|
Mio and Karen, both very much interested (and often involved) in the three boys' troubles, meet at last in a small mystery that seems to bring all the characters closer together. But what's this strange new manifestation of Kotarou's unknown ability? Kotarou starts to notice that maybe his touches are.... less than normal. And that Kazuma finally has an interesting conversation with Tatsuki--that suddenly puts Tatsuki on extreme edge. He knows danger is on its way, but will he be ready when it finally hits? Climax time! Volume 6 available in English as of 5/06. |

Volume 7 |
Bad, bad, bad. Tatsuki and Kazuma, after the horrifying events of Volume 6, are completely.... well.... As Kotarou deals with his own troubles, Tatsuki and Kazuma are out of control. What will it take to get them back? It's up to all the characters to deal with this, including old acquaintances and new ones. Yet even this isn't the end of their problems, as new complications begin to appear. Can things get any worse? And dammit, why is Akira always at the center of trouble? (This volume rocks. Oh, it rocks hard.) Volume 7 available in English as of 9/06. |

Things are coming to a head. Tatsuki, as usual, is trying to solve all problems by himself--but things aren't so simple this time. Now Kotarou at last must face his past, present, and future. But at what cost? The final volume of Sono Te, complete with jaw-dropping surprise. Just a warning: this book may cause bouts of manic crying. |
