Well, here it is! The FINAL part to the first story in my "Usagi and Mamoru's Love" series! I'd like once more to mention Ninx, who keeps mentioning me. She is an excellent writer, and her stories are very unique. By all means, check out "Headaches and Heartaches." A fanastic story. Alpha's still been helping me out with these stories, so I'd like to thank her as well. I hope someday she'll write and put up the fanfic she made up, which is WICKED cool. I think I'll have to bug her about that... Well, I'm done talking for right now. I hope you like this ending. This part's O.K., so it's rated PG, unlike Part 5, that was rated PG-13 for its violence. Arigato, minna-chan! -Lianne (eclipse@ntplx.net) *Sailor Moon and all its characters are copyright Naoko Takeuchi/Kodansha Ltd./Toei Animation, Co., Ltd. and the English adaptation is copyright 1995 DIC productions, LP. Usagi's eyes opened slowly and innocently. Her half-closed blue eyes focused on Rei. "Rei-chan?" Rei smiled. "Hai, Usagi-chan. Ready to wake up?" "What time is it?" Usagi asked softly. "3 o'clock." Usagi's eyes popped open. "In the morning?" Rei giggled. "In the afternoon." "Nani?!" Usagi shot up in the bed, looking out the curtain-covered window. Sure enough, it was light outside. "How long did I sleep?!" "Not THAT long. Remember Usagi; you were up till the early morning worrying about Mamoru. It's understandable you slept so long." Usagi took in a breath as her hand closed nervously. "Mamo-chan...is he...all right?" Rei smiled. "He's fine, Usagi. In fact, he just woke up now. I thought you might want to see him." "Really?!" Usagi jumped from the bed. "Rei, PLEASE take me to him!" She took her friend's hands and squeezed them tightly. Rei laughed. "Hey! Alright, alright - just don't crush my hands, Usagi." "Oh." Usagi let go. "Gomen." Rei laughed. "Alright. Let's bring you to your fiancee, ne?" Rei led Usagi to Ami's mother's bedroom. Ami's mother was out of town for a few weeks, so Ami had no problem keeping Mamoru at her place until he was well enough to go home. Rei knocked on the door lightly before opening it a crack and peeking in. "Mamoru-san? Are you ready to see Usagi?" "Usako?" Mamoru asked quietly. Usagi slipped into the room, hope on her youthful face. "M...Mamo-chan?" Her voice quivered. Rei smiled and closed the door, leaving them alone. Mamoru was lying in bed, wearing a light blue shirt. There were a few scratches on his face, but they were hardly even noticable. He didn't look half bad. Of couse, Usagi didn't need to see that without a shirt on she would have seen the MANY heavy bandages and stitches he had. Usagi ran up to him and threw her arms around his neck gently. "Oh, Mamo-chan..." she whispered. "You poor baby..." Mamoru chuckled weakly and put his arms around her. "Oh, Usako. I told you I wouldn't die. I'm all right." "Stop it. I know how hurt you got. Last night Ami and Rei had to work HOURS to patch you up. Ami said Rei had to give you hundreds of stitches. Ami couldn't even do it herself; she was too weak from giving you all the blood you needed." She hugged him tighter. "Oh, Mamo-chan. I hate to see you like this." "Hey. Stop worrying, Usako. Those stitches'll take a few weeks to heal, but I'll be fine after that." He smiled at her, and put his lips near her ear. "Besides," he whispered. "As soon as I DO get better, we can get married." Usagi blushed and pulled away. She fingered with the ring he gave her as she smiled shyly. "Oh, Mamo-chan...I hope so. I...I can't wait to be a bride." She took his hand. "YOUR bride." He bit his lip. "Oh, Usako..." His eyes turned a lighter shade of blue. "I love you so much...I just want to marry you, take you in my arms, and never let you go. Ever. Just hold you until the stars fall from the sky down around me and the world is plunged in darkness. I wouldn't care, anyway. All I want is you." Usagi's eyes hazed. "Oh, Mamo-chan..." She brought a finger to her lips. "I...I...I REALLY want to get married! As soon as possible. I just want to be with you for the rest of my life. Please say it'll be soon?" "As soon as I'm well enough," he whispered. "As soon as I can walk you down the aisle and into my life for eternity." She slid her fingers through his. "Mamo-chan..." ***************************** "You sure he's well enough to do this?" Minako whispered to Ami. Ami shrugged. "I suppose so. He's not COMPLETELY healed, but most of the stitches are, and he won't faint or anything. He's way beyond that point of his injuries." Rei smoothed her skirt. "And he and Usagi have been so close lately. They were really waiting for this. It's been three weeks. He's well enough. What are we gonna say? No?" Makoto smiled. "Well, if he won't faint on the alter, that's enough for Usagi." Michiru chuckled. "Yeah. It's enough for him, too." Haruka fidgeted in her skirt. "Dresses!" she complained. "Ewww! I feel like a duck with this on." "You look fine," Setsuna muttered. "Just stop fidgeting. You don't see Hotaru fussing." Haruka crossed her arms and pouted. "But I HATE dresses! And this one's frilly!" "Just shut your trap, you whiner," Michiru said angrily. "No fair Usagi made Naru her maid of honor," Minako pouted. "She didn't want any of us to feel bad," Ami said simply. "So she didn't pick favorites out of the senshi. That wouldn't be fair." "And Motoki being best man was NOT a surprise," Makoto said with a smirk. "I mean, does Mamoru HAVE any other friends?" Michiru smacked her upside the head. "That's not nice," Michiru reprimanded. "But true," Haruka muttered, only to be smacked as well. "Is not," Michiru hissed. "Would you all SHUT UP!" Luna whisper-yelled from perched on Minako's shoulder. "We are MISSING THE CEREMONY!" "Gomen," chorused eight voices. "Do you have the ring?" Mamoru looked at Usagi and smiled gently, pulling out the ring and slipping it on her delicate finger. The minister looked at Usagi. "And you?" Usagi took Mamoru's hand gently and slipped on a golden wedding band. She looked at him and smiled, biting her lip. "If there is anyone who says that these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace," the minister called. A muffled, angry voice could be heard in one of the aisles. Everyone turned to see Tsukino Ikuko, her broad straw hat shoved down over her husband's head as she stifled his yells by shoving him low under their pew. She smiled sweetly as she gave a "V is for victory" sign with her fingers, managing to keep Kenji down with her other arm. Sweatdrops appeared on everyone in the room, while Shingo laughed out loud. Haruka started to laugh, when a swift punch in the shoulder from Setsuna made her shut up. Usagi rolled her eyes and looked at her groom. Mamoru had a sweatdrop on his head, his eyebrow twitching. Usagi punched him playfully on the arm. "Hey, don't worry about it. He'll get used to his little girl being a wife soon enough." She leaned closer to him and added with a whisper, "I just think maybe our honeymoon should last a few years." Mamoru giggled nervously. The minister blinked. "Uh...then, by the power invested in me by the city of Tokyo, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Mamoru's hands clasped over Usagi's, their fingers twining through each other's. "Usako," he whispered. "Oh, Usako...I can't believe we're finally together. Usagi's eyes quivered. "Oh, Mamo-chan!" She pushed herself forward and kissed him passionately, taking him by surprise and making him stumble backwards. Everyone laughed. He blinked to recover a moment, then closed his eyes and returned her kiss fully as everyone cheered. Haruka threw her fist in the air. "LONG LIVE THE PRINCE AND PRIN-mmmppphhhh!" Michiru shoved Haruka's head down as she glanced around. "Urasai, Haruka-chan!" she whispered angrily. "Not EVERYONE here knows we're senshi, you baka!" Makoto dusted her hands. "I guess THAT'S over with," she commented simply. Ami giggled as she wiped her eyes. Minako noticed Luna was smiling. She turned her head to the cat. "Not so upset to see Usagi going away, after all?" Luna blinked. "What do you mean?" Minako nudged her slyly. "Oh, you know - you're like a mother to her. Usually mothers are upset to see their daughters given away." Luna smiled and shook her head. "Usagi's not 'given away.' She'll always be around. I know it. And I'm happy for her. This is the way it SHOULD have ended in the Silver Millenium." Artemis, on Minako's other shoulder, smiled. "Hai. Good to see destiny FINALLY played out, ne?" Luna smiled. "Setsuna-chan?" Hotaru asked. "What, Hotaru-chan?" Setsuna replied. "Are the prince and princess married now?" Setsuna smiled. "Hai." "Then can I get dressed into something comfortable?" she asked as she looked down at her fancy bridesmaid dress. Setsuna laughed. Usagi and Mamoru were still kissing. Their clasped hands tightened, holding each other with tender passion. Their minds were clear, blank, and yet totally filled. They were empty of thoughts, but full of emotion. Joy. Overflowing, passionate, unbridled joy that filled their minds and their hearts. They were finally together. Joined as soul mates, until death do them part. But that never stopped them before. After a few moments, Rei put her hands on her hips. "Alright, enough you two! Can we just go to the party, already?" ***************************** Usagi looked up the long flight of stairs. "Which one are we, Mamo-chan?" "That one," he said, pointing to a slightly-open door on the upper floor in the hallway of doors. "It was...really nice of your parents to get us a room and everything." "Yeah...it was..." Usagi tried not to show her slight disappointment. Here she was, in the absolute PERFECT place to live out her dream of being a bride carried over the threshold, and Mamoru was still recovering from his injuries. It wasn't safe for him to carry her - he could get hurt. "My mom suggested it," she said quietly, her voice slightly downcast. "She knew we'd wanna be alone the - oh!" Usagi blushed as Mamoru suddenly swept her up in his arms and picked her up. He started to walk up the stairs, carrying her. "M...Mamo-chan..." Usagi commented. "You're...you're not strong enough to lift me now. You're not fully recovered from your wounds yet..." He smiled. "I'm fine, Usako." "But I don't want you...to get hurt...because of me..." He silenced her with a kiss. "I know this is what you want," he whispered. "You deserve to get your dreams, Usako. You've already fulfilled all of mine." Usagi looked at him a minute with softly blue eyes, then slowly put her arms around his neck. She blushed. "Oh, Mamo-chan...I'm so glad we're finally married...I've dreamed of this moment for years." Mamoru smiled as he carried her up the stairs gently. They reached the door, and he smiled at her. "I've dreamed of this moment for years, too." They kissed. A deep, loving kiss filled with the passion and love they shared for each other throughout two lifetimes, that had evaded them for so long, that had been just unreachable so many times. He carried her through the doorway, and the door closed behind them. The End -Did you like this? I hope so. I ended up liking it a LOT, personally. I didn't have much of a story planned out for this originally, but it worked as I went along and I figured out stuff as I worked on it. This is the end of the first story in my "Usagi and Mamoru's Love" series, but be prepared for the rest! Part 1 of the second story, "Usagi and Mamoru's Love: Surprises" should be out now. THAT story's kinda cool. And you'll finally get to see Usagi and Mamoru as a married couple! "Blossomings" was kind of a ground work for the rest of the series, namely in that this gets them married. Their evolution and progression as a married couple is basically the setting for all the other stories, and have plots to them, as this one did. A different story each time. Don't you feel special. Anyway, I'd like to thank Alpha again for helping me and supporting me through this, and my good friend Leia, who is currently writing a co-written fanfic with me called "Fear." We will ONE DAY have that up, I hope. Leia is an excellent writer that had a BIG part in helping me come up with all the stories in my "Usagi and Mamoru's Love" series, but she has yet to publish her work on the internet. I think I'll have to bug her, too... Now, I'm going to shamefully copy Ninx in her author's notes for her series "Four Lovers" and tell you the titles to the rest of my series. They go in this order: "Usagi and Mamoru's Love: Blossomings" "Usagi and Mamoru's Love: Surprises" "Usagi and Mamoru's Love: Childbirth" "Usagi and Mamoru's Love: Strike" "Usagi and Mamoru's Love: Newcomings" "Usagi and Mamoru's Love: Warriors" "Usagi and Mamoru's Love: Emergence" "Usagi and Mamoru's Love Epilogue: Battle" More than I originally planned, but both "Childbirth" and "Newcomings" consist of only one part. Don't let that discourage you - I love both of them a lot! Some titles may seem awkward, but don't let that discourage you, either. You'll see what they mean when you read them. A lot of these stories are very serious plots, so it's not ALL mushy romantic parts. ^_^ There's violence and emotional strain in lots of them, too. I like 'em a lot! (How many times have I said that?) My favorite one is probably "Emergence," but I also really like "Strike" and "Battle." "Battle" is an epilogue, even though it's a whole story. And it's the only story to take place in Crystal Tokyo, even though my Crystal Tokyo is a little different from the real Crystal Tokyo. Anyway, I'm rambling - I'm gonna try to update these stories once a week, and I'll try to have them all done by Valentine's Day, 1998. That's about 5 months from now, so stay posted! I'll go now - you're probably getting sick of me. Now you can go read Part 1 of "Surprises." Tee hee! Ja ne! -Lianne (eclipse@ntplx.net)
