Konnichi wa, minna-chan! Here's Part 2! Sorry it's a week late. I know Part 1 wasn't very good or interesting (although personally I found Mamoru's dream VERY symbolic ^_-), but I left it to the last minute, so I was a little rushed. This story should be getting better. It'll probably have 5 Parts, and then I'll get on to the second story in the series. The second story is quite good. Anyway, I hope you like this story, but if you don't, don't worry, because the other stories are, for the most part, quite a bit better than this one. By the way, Amethist's e-mail is gone! I was using her e-mail up until now, but DON'T send anything to Kcsw1234@aol.com because it no longer exists! As a result, anyone who sent me anything after August 14 I didn't get. If anyone would like to resend what they sent at that time to the NEW address for both Amethist and me, eclipse@ntplx.net, feel free. I ask that ANYONE that wishes to send me e-mail, send it to eclipse@ntplx.net. It's the address of my good friend Alpha, who has yet to publish her fanfics on the internet (hopefully she will, though!). And since vacations are over, I can now answer any e-mail that ASKS to be answered within a week or so. School just started for me, so updates for ALL my stories may not be once a week, but this series SHOULD be updated every week. It's my priority in case I have any other stories posted up at the same time. Ninx mentioned me again in her story "Four Lovers: Stranded," so I'll mention HER again. Her stuff's funny, and well written. I still love "Headaches and Heartaches" the best. Hope it'll be finished soon... Wink Wink, Ninx! Arigato! ^_^ -Lianne (eclipse@ntplx.net) *Sailor Moon and all its characters are copyright Naoko Takeuchi/Kodansha Ltd./Toei Animation, Co., Ltd. and the English adaptation is copyright 1995 DIC productions, LP. His eyes were a bit unsure, almost nervous. His sneakers padded on the sidewalk, deserted, surprisingly, on the beautiful fall day. His thoughts were on one thing - Usagi. He bit his lip as he thought about her, and why he was now looking for her. He took a deep breath. On an intersecting sidewalk, he suddenly saw a weeping figure run past. Her face buried in her hands, obviously sobbing, the collar of her high school sailor uniform flapping behind her. As did two long, golden pigtails. He blinked, surprised. "Usako?" She didn't see him as she rushed past, slightly up the walk from him, and continued to run past the intersection where he could no longer see her. He ran up to the intersection to look down and see her still sobbing. She ran around a corner down the street and disappeared. he thought worriedly. He ran after her. ********************* Usagi didn't watch where she was going. She just wanted to run, anywhere, to get away. From Mamoru's hateful gaze. she thought miserably. In another instance, Usagi might have noticed it very strange that Mamoru, who never treated her that way, would suddenly be so cold to her for no apparent reason. If it happened to one of her friends, she would have noticed, and thought something was wrong. And perhaps suspected that an evil being was the cause of it, considering that had happened numerous times before. But it wasn't with one of her friends. It was with Mamoru. When it came to him, Usagi, unfortunately, didn't use her head for judgement. Her emotions completely controlled her around him, so if he treated her unusually coldly, she wouldn't think about it. It would simply destroy her. For Usagi, careful, down-to-earth inspection was not something she could do when it came to love. She hardly heard the sound of shimmering magic before her. It hardly clicked into her brain, but she realized it was a sound she had heard many times before. When there was something evil. Her clouded brain forced her to look up, and she saw a portal open up in the sky above and slightly in front of her. Her watery eyes blinked in surprise, and her shock seemed to freeze her to the spot as she saw two very evil looking people float out of it. Usagi gasped in surprise. That girl...the one that had been with Mamoru... "Konnichi wa, Tsukino Usagi," Arasei said coldly. "Or should I say, Sailor Moon?" Usagi gasped. Heiko laughed wickedly. "Time to come along, little princess. You have something we want." Usagi's mouth was hanging open with shock. "I...you...I don't know... who you're talking...about..." "Nice try," Heiko said flatly. "But don't bother trying to hide your identity. We know who you are." Usagi couldn't move. Her legs didn't seem to work for her. "You," she managed to call out. "Why were...you with Mamoru? What did you...do to him..." Arasei laughed. "Ah. The man. Disappointed to see him with someone else?" Usagi's mouth went dry. Heiko chuckled. "Hm. The little girl still really thinks that was her boyfriend. How silly." When Usagi didn't answer, Heiko laughed. "Yes, child. It wasn't him. It was my love disguised. Ever heard of a shape-change?" Usagi's heart froze in her chest. A sense of relief and terror flew through her icily. "It...wasn't..." "No. It wasn't him. It was me." Arasei smiled evilly. "But it doesn't matter. You'll never see him again. Or anyone else for that matter." Heiko's eyes flashed with evil. "The ginzuishou is ours." The two of them darted forward in a flash for Usagi. Usagi's mind froze in fear. Panic rushed into her heart and clutched it with a cold hand. Unable to run, she did the first thing she could think of: she grabbed her locket from the front of her uniform and tried to transform. "Moon Eternal - " She was cut off as Arasei grabbed her arms and yanked them behind her back, causing her to drop the locket. It fell with a clunk to the ground. The small purse she had only begun recently to start carrying around slid off her shoulder to land next to the locket at her feet. Usagi kicked and made a choked scream as she tried to break free of the man's hold, but his grip was strong. Heiko went to pick up the locket, but Usagi managed to kick it away with her shoe. It skidded farther down the deserted sidewalk. Arasei yanked her back angrily. Heiko, eyes burning with anticipation, dashed to the locket and reached out for it. Only to scream in pain as a rose imbedded itself into her hand. Heiko's head jerked up, her red eyes glowing with anger. Mamoru, not transformed, dashed forward, eyes darkly serious. Another rose flew at her, and it grazed Heiko across the temple. She cried and covered the cut with her uninjured hand. Arasei's eyes narrowed. Heiko backed up, glaring angrily, from Mamoru as she pulled the rose from her hand painfully. Mamoru grabbed the locket. He looked to Arasei, blue eyes burning with anger. "Let her go!" Mamoru yelled. "MAMO-CHAN!" Usagi screamed. Arasei clamped a hand over her mouth roughly. He pulled her back, keeping her arms pinned behind her. Heiko yelled at Mamoru, "Give us the ginzuishou!" She put her hands together and a small ball of energy formed around them. She released it at Mamoru. He dodged out of the way, dropping to the ground and rolling away. "Stupid cape-boy!" she yelled as she tossed another energy ball at him, which he once again dodged. She cursed. Mamoru flew to a crouched postion, staying close to the ground. Anger rushed through his body like a drug, making his mind clouded. The site of Usagi being held captive by Arasei filled him with an intense, burning anger, stronger than anything he had ever felt. He had no idea why these people were doing this - he had simply followed Usagi and saw her suddenly get attacked as soon as he turned the corner - but he didn't care. All he wanted was for Usagi to be alright. "Let her go!" he yelled again at Arasei, his blue eyes flashing with fury. Heiko growled. "We may not be powerful enough to fight ALL the senshi, but I can CERTAINLY get rid of you, pest!" The woman threw a small ball of flame at Mamoru. He dropped to the ground as it flew past his head. He threw another rose at her, and it buried deep into her arm. She cried out in pain and backed up to stand beside her love. Mamoru stood up, eyes flashing, the locket held with white knuckles in his clenched hand. "LET HER GO," he growled dangerously. Arasei smiled wickedly as he continued to hold Usagi, who kicked and made muffled screams, tring to get free. "Why should I?" he mocked. "You are only a lone warrior. And I have someone important to you. Give us the ginzuishou." "You will not get it," Mamoru said coldly. Arasei and Heiko smiled, then levitated, Arasei taking Usagi with him. They floated near the portal, and then floated easily in front of it. Mamoru ran up so he was nearer to them, eyes narrowing. "What are you doing to her?!" Arasei smiled evilly, and shrugged. "That all depends on whether or not you do what we say." Suddenly, his hand, firmly clamped over Usagi's mouth, shot back, jerking her head back dangerously quickly, her chin thrust high in the air. Usagi froze. Arasei kept her head firmly against him, in a very fragile postion. He looked down at Mamoru, green eyes cold and dangerous. "I could snap her pretty little neck without a problem, Chiba," he said coldly. "So unless you want to lose your little rabbit, I suggest you give us that crystal." Mamoru's fists clenched, the golden locket getting sweaty in his hand. His body trembled with anticipation. He wished he could help Usagi, but there didn't seem to be anything he could do. He shifted his feet, keeping his eyes on Arasei. He clenched his fist around the locket tighter. "Well?" Arasei asked. When Mamoru still didn't say anything, Arasei quickly jerked Usagi's head back a slight bit farther, in a nearly snapping position. Usagi, scared by the sudden jerk, made a whimper. Her breath came through her nose in quick, panicked breaths, her blue eyes fighting tears. Mamoru felt his heart start to break. He could barely keep the tears from spilling from his eyes, or keep the helplessness from his expression. Usagi was everything to him. His dream and all that it meant rushed back through his head again in helpless memory, his hoplessness deepening. He couldn't stand for anything to happen to Usagi. He COULDN'T give up the ginzuishou to the side of evil, but he couldn't stand to see Usagi so helpless. And if anything happened to her... "Come on, fool!" Heiko called angrily. "Give it to us!" Mamoru didn't know what to do. His feet began to shift again against his will as his mind raced. He suddenly felt something soft nudge against his foot as he moved it. Not wanted to draw attention to himself, he kept his eyes upward, but looked out of the corner of his eye to see what he had touched. Usagi's purse. Suddenly, a thought burst into his head. His eyes narrowed at Arasei. "I'm giving you one last chance to let her go," Mamoru said coldly. "Or you will face the consequences." "Consequences? From YOU? What can YOU do to ME in this situation?" Arasei mocked, and began to laugh, Heiko joining in. "Baka!" In a flash Mamoru had grabbed up the purse and thrust his hand inside. Silently praying, his heart nearly stopped beating as his hand came into contact with something round and bumpy. His hand closed over it, flipping it open as he jerked it out. Arasei and Heiko blinked as he held the object up so they could clearly see it. It was the locket from when the senshi had been fighting the Black Moon family. Usagi's communicator. Heiko's words rang through his head..."We may not be powerful enough to fight ALL the senshi..." Mamoru's eyes narrowed as he placed his finger over a small button inside the locket. "Don't you dare hurt her," he said dangerously. Heiko gasped. Arasei showed no change of emotion. Instead, he held Usagi tighter, implying that he would kill her. "Give us the ginzuishou," he said flatly. But his tone sounded less confident. "Don't TOUCH her." Mamoru's voice was soft and threatening. "I push one button on this thing and you got eight VERY angry senshi up your ass." Heiko bit her lip worriedly. Arasei stayed in his position, not loosening his hold on Usagi. The two men looked at each other a moment, neither saying a word. Cold green eyes met determined blue ones, a clashing of glitteringly powerful emotions, their eyes reflecting inside of them a wave of power. Finally, Arasei narrowed his eyes. "You are clever, Prince of Earth," he said coldly. "But we are not prepared to give up your love that easily." "You try me," Mamoru commented flatly, "And you're dead." Arasei's eyes flickered with anger. "We will not give her back," he said flatly. "If you want her back, you must WIN her back." Mamoru kept his cold stare on the man. Arasei continued. "Come with us. You have the ginzuishou, and we want it. Come and TRY to get your rabbit back. But if you transform, or summon the other senshi, she's dead. I don't play games." His eyes flashed. "Go with you where?" A small black portal appeared in front of Mamoru, identical in type to the one they hovered in front of. "It is to our place," Arasei said flatly. "It is of this earth, though you know not where. We will take your girl there. Come and try to get her back." Mamoru looked at the portal. Heiko smiled evilly. "But you will fail. And when you do, we will at last have the ginzuishou." She laughed. Mamoru looked at her, eyes burning in intense blueness. "Don't underestimate me," he said flatly. Arasei glared at him, green eyes flashing. "And don't interestimate us." He floated back into his portal, taking Usagi with him. Her big blue eyes looked down at Mamoru as she disappeared in the blackness, planting their beauty into his brain. He no longer felt hoplessness for her. Only determination. Heiko laughed as she began to float into the portal. Her last words mocked him as she disappeared. "The hunt is on. But will the fox get his rabbit?" Her laugh melted with her into the blackness. Mamoru looked at the portal. His blue eyes stared into its deep, neverending blackness. Its blackness reminded him of another blackness. The blackness in his dream. The blackness of his life before Usagi. It was her light that had saved him from that blackness, her light that had made his life fill with beauty and joy. A light he didn't want to lose. A light he wouldn't lose. He stepped into the portal. To be continued... -Are ya gettin' excited yet? I am! Why? Because I'm making up a LOT of this story as I go along, considering I had a very vague plot for it when I started, but it's turning out much nicer than I expected! Next part should be out next week, so see you there! And remember - I take no responsibility for any riots or other extremely violent acts that may occur when my stories are put up on the internet. If people don't like my writing, they have to find a better way of dealing with their hate than resorting to physical violence. May I suggest eating a cookie? It might help fight the hate. Ja ne! ^_^ -Lianne (eclipse@ntplx.net)
